The Varsity Boys opened the game by spotting a 6-1 lead to non-conference foe Hazen before opening up the offense and tightening down the defense, resulting in a 34-20 lead at halftime.  Hazen made some adjustments and was able to slightly outscore the Wolverines in the second half, but the Varsity boys hung on for a hard-fought win.
